Do I need an account to use the site?
You can browse freely, but you’ll need a free account to post, respond to requests, or view contact details.
Is it free to browse?
Yes! Browsing listings, events, requests, and the is completely free.
Can I contact people directly?
Yes – once you’re logged in, you can use the platform’s built-in messaging system or contact details if listing to get in touch.
Listings
Can I edit or renew my listing?
Yes! Go to your Dashboard to update, re-list or boost your listings anytime.
What if I picked the wrong category?
You can edit your listing, but listing fees are non-refundable – please check carefully before submitting.
Are listing fees refundable?
No – all listing payments are final. Please preview and double-check your listing before publishing.
How does messaging work?
There are three ways to get in touch, depending on what the listing owner has enabled:
- Platform Message (paper plane icon):
Sends a private message inside the platform. Your email or phone number won’t be shared.
Great for first contact or when you prefer to stay private. - WhatsApp (if shown):
Takes you directly to a WhatsApp chat with the listing owner. - Email Direct (if shown):
Opens your email app to send a direct message to the contact provided.
Choose the option that suits you best – you don’t need to use all of them.
Requests
What’s the difference between a Request and a Listing?
A Request is a way to ask for help, advice, or recommendations from the community. A Listing is used to promote services, events, items or offers.
Can I respond to a Request?
Yes! If you see a Request you can help with, log in and use the messaging feature to reply.
Are my contact details public?
Your general area (like town) may be visible, but personal info like phone numbers or exact location is kept private unless you choose to include it.
Trust & Safety
How do I report a problem?
Click the flag icon on any listing or profile to report it. We’ll review and take action if necessary.
What happens if someone breaks the rules?
Accounts may be suspended or removed if they break our Terms, post inappropriate content, or act dishonestly.
Is my location private?
Yes – the map only shows general areas to protect your privacy. We never share your exact address unless you choose to.
Who sees my information?
Only logged-in members can view contact info. Sensitive fields (like email or phone) are optional and hidden by default.
Other
Can I list on behalf of someone else?
Yes – if you’re helping someone post a listing (e.g. an older person or community group), just make that clear in the description.
Can I post if I’m not a business?
Absolutely! Anyone can post requests, free stuff, events or offers. Businesses and professionals can post under relevant categories.
Can I boost my listing?
Yes! For £5, you can Boost your listing to the top of its category for 7 days.
